After studying computer science at Texas A&M, I became a high school computer science teacher at A&M Consolidated High School, my alma mater. While I thoroughly enjoyed my time there, being a teacher was quite exhausting, so I looked to change careers after just three years.
I ended up becoming a web developer for a missions organization called Via, and I have loved every bit of it. I already had experience with HTML, CSS, and Javascript, but I have gained experience with Material UI, React, Next.js, and Node.js in the short time I have been with Via.
